The World’s Biggest Hotel Family Best Western International announced about the entry of new format of hotels. The details of the project were presented at the Annual Best Western North American Convention, which was held on October 17-19, 2013 in San-Antonio, Texas.
The format in question is known to world travelers as an Extended Stay hotel. At first, plans were to introduce new standards for the hotels under the brand name Best Western Plus and Best Western Premier, which provided 20% of all hotel rooms for the Extended Stay format, but now the plans of the company have changed and it was decided that the creation of new hotel format with 100% hotel rooms for Extended Stay will be developed.
The name of new brand and its standards are in the planning stage. Best Western Extended Stay hotels will offer additional services and facilities, including substantial public areas. Special focus will be paid to engineering and design of the hotel lobby, which will have to create a distinctive atmosphere of home comfort. In particular, the key elements of the lobby will be following: reception; lounge-zone with soft sofas, arm chairs, tables and plasma screens; work area with places equipped with computers or laptops; outdoor terrace for rest (with possibility of heating) etc. It is planned during the lobby space design to give a lot of attention to lighting of different zones and color scale of materials and furniture.
Best Western International – is the largest hotel family in the world, bringing together more than 4000 hotels in 100 countries. To date, this is the only major hotel chain, which develops as a non-profit organization and integrates the hotels under three brands: Best Western, Best Western Plus and Best Western Premier (hotels with 3, 4 and 4 + / 5 stars) . Currently in Ukraine, there is one Best Western hotel operating in Sevastopol, which was opened in 2009.
