Best Western Sevastopol Hotel proudly took honored guests – Prince Michael of Kent and the members of British «Air Squadron»

In July 2013, Best Western Sevastopol Hotel accommodated honored guests – a member of the British Royal family Prince Michael of Kent and the members of Retro Aircraft flying club «Air Squadron». The delegation members arrived in Ukraine by 27 retro aircrafts, 12 of which were manufactured in the pre-war period (30-40 years of XX century).

During a visit to Ukraine, Prince Michael met with President Victor Yanukovych, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul, Minister for Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara, Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaliy Zakharchenko.

Among the major events Prince Michael of Kent visited the massive military-historical reconstruction of the battle in the Crimean War of 1853-1856, that held near Balaklava (Crimea) on July 6. More than 150 volunteers from Ukraine and Russia in the uniform of the XIX century in detail recreated fighting with 8 cannons, cavalry and other means of simulating combat. The reconstruction has been concluded by fly-past of Air Squadron’s vintage aircrafts.

Also in hotel were organized an official reception to mark the end of the visit of Retro Aircraft flying club «Air Squadron». Conference hall «Admiral» placed more than 150 persons, including Prince Michael of Kent, chairman of the Sevastopol administration and top officials of the city.
